Cynthia Willard-Lewis, City Councilwoman for District E has thrown her hat into the ring for City Council Member at Large -- Oliver Thomas' old spot. HA! No really, ha ha ha ha ha. Ok, I think that I'm done laughing ... oh no wait, ha ha ha ha. With most of her constituents not even living in the city, I'm not sure how she intends to pull this one off. In fact, I think that Mama D might have a better chance of winning -- oh yes indeed, she is running too. She's going to need to get her little hippie following to register to vote here before they head back up North in their Land Rovers. Please, please tell me that there will be televised debates. So far these are the only two that have stepped up to the plate. Thanks Adrastos for the heads up!

1. Dyan stayed and heard the levees break and the noise sounded like an explosion. I do not believe that the levees were blown, like in 1927; just corruptly, incompetently constructed by the US Army. The fact is the the criminal negligence of the Army caused the deaths of 1600 of our fellow Louisianians.
Dyan stayed and housed scores of Blacks, whites and hispanics. Where were u?
Dyan stayed and fed hundreds of Blacks, whites and hispanics. Who did u feed?
Dyan stayed and clothed hundreds of Blacks, whites and hispanics. How many did u clothe?
Dyan organized the cleanup of homes all over the Seventh ward. How many homes did u clean?
Dyan organized the rescue of scores of Orleanians. How many did u rescue?
Dyan stayed and was one of the few New Orleanians who was portrayed positively in the national media, a heroine. Are u?
