Local blog, The Chicory, has decided to declare the official Harry of New Orleans. Finalists included Harry Shearer and one Harry Connick Jr. Unfortunately Connick was disqualified in the final round due to his real name. On his birth certificate our favorite NOCCA grad is actually Joseph Harry Fowler Connick, Jr. and his stage name is the one we all know so well. Yes he still has a Harry in there, but that wasn't enough for The Chicory's judges. The Chicory didn't just pick this honor out of thin air though. The Harry of New Orleans is being honored for " spirited support of New Orleans cultures and as a dedicated booster of South Louisiana related issues."
