The best thing about the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival is the food (ok, the music's great too). You can get a great sample of the Cajun lifestyle here. With Natchitoches meat pies, crawfish, muffalettas, and a whole lot more I'm sure to get plenty of great foodie pics. Up first, today's lunch, Crawfish Pie and water (gotta stay healthy). Hmm, brain food. Inside the fried pocket of goodness is a mixture of crawfish, rice, seasonings, and sauce. Great on the go and perfect to help make it over to the next tent.

1. Crawfish pie is good but the Crawfish Strudel is my favorite. It's full of crawfish in a delicious sauce with just the right amount of spice and it's wrapped with a homemade filo dough.
