Michael Brown and Bobby Jindal, Nat'l GOP is bad for Louisiana

Before your whip out the flame thrower, let me explain. First Michael Brown was quoted by the AP over the weekend (while the rest of the state was living football) saying that the Republican Bush administration decided to screw Louisiana during the aftermath of Katrina. Second, Bobby Jindal (hand picked by the national party to run for governor last time and great friend of the Bush administration) has decided to re-run for governor on a time for a change ticket.

Brown's quote was just stating what we already knew. Louisiana and New Orleans was screwed during the hurricane hell of 2005 by partisan sexist politics. Of course you need to take what he says with a grain of salt, he is trying to say a ruined career and make some money. The problem is, what he says lines up. Brown was made a scape goat after the debacle in New Orleans and the Bush administration did do what it could to make Louisiana and its Democratic administration look bad in comparison to Mississippi. Heck they gave us a big 'up yours' at the end of the last congressional session.

Speaking of the last congressional session. That's when Jindal's Republican party decided to award all that money to our next door neighbors and announce that Louisiana didn't deserve it nor did we come up with a plan for it. Hmmm. could of sworn we had a few plans and could of sworn the area with the most damage was here, not there. Could of sworn the country promised to not play politics with its people. Could of sworn Bush said something about not forgetting us in Jackson Square (after a fly over in order to visit Mississippi's coast and a refusal to answer the phone calls of our governor.

Jindal, sorry you are not a change. No you are only inexperience and a boot licker for the national party. No I don't know if we should stay with Blanco (Kathleen you should just retire after this one and offer the post to Breaux or Melancon), but I do know a re-tred with a Bush administration flunky is not the right path for our state.

You want a good Louisiana Republican, try Ken Hollis. That is a state senator with experience who cares about the city and is moderate enough to please everyone.

What do you think? Who is a better choice? Should Jindal run again or should he realize its not his place?
