This month's GQ magazine is out with a long article about food around the New Orleans area by well-known critic and self-described journalist Alan Richman. According to today's Picayune, this article is the biggest piece of garbage written about our fair city in a long time. The linked article is from today's times picayune and it proceeds to tear apart the piece for being ignorantly written with bad reviews that ignore history, the definition of cajun food, and what the type of one of the resturants the writer visited was.Highlights fro the article include Richman saying Cajun food is a Canadian import, Creoles are myths (though he interviews one), and Galatoire's historic fried trout amandine meunière is junk. Read the GQ article online here. Then get set straight by the Times Picayune food critic Brett Anderson here. Plus a quick podcast response from Richman that digs the hole deeper here.

1. I've looked through the Richman's article. Yep, it's a piece of garbage. It’s totally ludicrous!
