WWNO Katrina broadcast Nine Lives

Live tonight at 7:30 pm CST you can listen to WWNO 89.9 radio's special Katrina: Nine Lives. This radio documentary will describe the experiences of nine New Orleans residents during and after the storm. Those featured include Ronnie Virgets, Ellis Marsalis and Chris Rose. The show will also include commentary and is hosted by WWNO personality Fred Kasten. Because WWNO is online, anyone worldwide can listen to the broadcast online via their website. I would recommend donating to the station after the broadcast as well. WWNO is located on the University of New Orleans campus and broadcasted throughout the storm. Soon after Katrina, the full studio transferred out of state while the campus was repaired and they returned around the same time UNO was able to reopen. Unfortunately the normal membership week for Fall 2005 was set for the first week of September. Between expenses and the lost of that week the station could use the support.
