The Katrina diet, easy way to lose weight fast

And lose your mind. My family experienced this strangeness and most others I've talked to have as well. The Katrina Diet consisted of eating almost nothing for a week starting August 29, 2005. and then eating little for the next year while trying to find friends, relatives, co-workers and yourself. This is not a diet that most chose to go on and some may have even gained weight on it with comforting expansion of meals. For me though, this diet included a thining of the wallet as I drove around the country gather my stuff and moving from air mattress to air mattress to relative's house and onward. I saw a weight loss of ten pounds and half of my frontal lobe... and a third of my stuff, all of my furniture, one car, contact with a best friend for two weeks, contact from my parents for almost as long, and the house I grew up in. I just wonder if I'm supposed to look at this as a lost year too?

What's going on here? Why am I posting so much? Today, in honor of Katrina I am attempting a 24 hour 24 post blogathon.
